Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Mono-Red treasure / Dragon deck helmed by Smaug the Magnificent. The core plan is to accelerate into a massive treasure hoard, then convert that resource into overwhelming direct damage through Smaug's attack trigger and a dense suite of extra-combat cards. The commander's haste lets it attack the turn it enters, and each extra combat step re-fires Smaug's "number of Treasures" damage to any target, enabling the deck to kill each opponent in a single turn once the treasure count is high enough. Secondary win conditions center on Hellkite Tyrant's 20-artifact threshold, Knuckles the Echidna's 30-artifact condition, or the cascade-burn chain from Alchemist's Talent (level 3). The deck forgoes a traditional draw engine but compensates with token synergies, a low curve, and powerful damage doublers.
