Commander: Don Andres, the Renegade

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis deck helmed by Don Andres, the Renegade is a theft-and-pirates hybrid that seeks to win by deploying opponents' own cards against them. The primary plan involves dropping Pirates to trigger combat-steal effects (Breeches, Brazen Plunderer, Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator) while looting key permanent-steal spells (Mob Rule, Insurrection, Control Magic). Don Andres turns stolen creatures into formidable threats by giving them +2/+2, menace, and deathtouch, and his treasure generation from casting noncreature spells you don't own fuels further theft and extra combats via Port Razer. The deck has no compact infinite combos; it wins through incremental commander damage, hasty theft swarms, and explosive extra-combat turns.
