Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Grixis kindred strategy led by Edward Kenway, blending Pirate aggression, Vehicle combat mechanics, and heavy Treasure token generation. The primary game plan curves out with aggressive, evasive Pirates on the opening turns, deploying Kenway on Turn 4 to convert tapped attackers and crewed ships into an immediate influx of Treasure. This massive mana velocity feeds game-ending enchantments like Revel in Riches, extra-turn engines via Time Sieve, or explosive card advantage from combat damage engines like Kindred Discovery and Bident of Thassa. The list maintains resilience through graveyard recursion and alternative pirate commanders like Admiral Brass, Unsinkable. However, its reliance on combat connections and susceptibility to artifact and board wipes demand careful sequencing when committing threats to the battlefield.
