Deck overview

This mono-black Zombie tribal deck is led by Ghoulcaller Gisa, focusing on an aristocrat-swarm strategy that converts high-power creatures into wide armies of 2/2 black Zombie tokens. In the early turns, the deck develops its board with efficient Zombie creatures, mana rocks, and card advantage engines such as Cryptbreaker and Undead Augur. Once Gisa resolves and untaps, she rapidly multiplies the board's power by sacrificing recurring creatures like Gravecrawler or buffed lords. The deck closes out games through overwhelming combat damage powered by anthems like Undead Warchief and Death Baron, or through massive asymmetric life-loss swings from Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Ayara, First of Locthwain. While the deck features strong internal synergy, reliable card flow, and resilient graveyard recursion, its reliance on combat, absence of fast infinite combos or tutors, and lack of stack interaction place it squarely in the casual-to-focused bracket of Commander.
