Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color Spellslinger Midrange engine centered on Codie, Ravenous Codex and creatures featuring the Prepare mechanic. The primary game plan accelerates mana on Turns 1 and 2 through efficient dorks like Bloom Tender and Birds of Paradise, deploying Codie on Turn 3. Once established, Codie copies prepared spells when cast, generating explosive card advantage through Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall and substantial mana through Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song. On Turn 5, the deck transitions into a lethal threat by deploying premier Magecraft engines such as Professor Onyx, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Veyran, Voice of Duality. Storm-Kiln Artist funds rapid spell chains, allowing the deck to untap on Turn 6 and eliminate the table with a doubled Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate or lethal drain triggers. The list maintains strong resilience through redundant prepare threats, versatile interaction, and backup Magecraft lines.
