Deck overview

This Grixis control deck is built around flipping Nicol Bolas, the Ravager into the Arisen and then pointing that engine at Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God. The Arisen's +2 fuels card advantage and reanimation, while Dragon-God copies that +2 to charge toward its -8 ultimate, which is the deck's cleanest kill. Secondary paths use discard payoffs (Megrim, Liliana's Caress, Waste Not), creature theft/reanimation (Tergrid, Eldest Reborn, Scarab God), and a Smaug/Treasure package. Tergrid acts as a hidden commander for the sacrifice/discard subtheme. The suite of Bolas planeswalkers provides grinding inevitability, but the deck is slow, relies on consecutive loyalty activations, and has almost no free protection.
