Deck overview

Led by Gluntch, the Bestower, this Selesnya deck blends group hug diplomacy, lifegain synergies, and pillowfort defenses into an alternate win condition strategy. In the opening turns, Gluntch generates political goodwill and accelerates mana or card advantage by distributing +1/+1 counters, card draw, and Treasures. Meanwhile, soul sister effects like Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, and Essence Warden continuously buffer life totals whenever creatures enter the battlefield. Defensive staples such as Ghostly Prison, Windborn Muse, and Nils, Discipline Enforcer deter hostile attacks by taxing combat, while instant-speed interaction and shielding spells like Tamiyo's Safekeeping protect critical assets. Once a safe life cushion is established, the deck transitions to a decisive finish using alternate win conditions including Felidar Sovereign, Test of Endurance, or Approach of the Second Sun. Independent card draw and creature tutors ensure consistent execution, allowing the deck to outlast opponents and claim victory on upkeep.
