Deck overview

This Dimir deck combines aggressive library milling with graveyard-scaling payoffs. Led by Lazav, Dimir Mastermind, the plan mills opponents using cards like Mesmeric Orb, Maddening Cacophony, and Traumatize. These filled graveyards fuel massive beaters such as Consuming Aberration, Wight of Precinct Six, and Bonehoard, while allowing Lazav to copy the best milled opposing creatures with built-in hexproof. Secondary win conditions like Syr Konrad, the Grim and Guiltfeeder convert milled cards directly into life loss. The deck features strong functional redundancy among its mill and payoff packages. However, its primary weaknesses include a low ramp count, reliance on multi-turn creature combat without haste, and extreme vulnerability to graveyard hate spells that wipe out graveyard-dependent power and toughness.
