Ratrifice by Foz

Format: Commander

Commander: Vren, the Relentless

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Vren, the Relentless is the engine and payoff: the deck uses cheap edicts and black board wipes to make opponents lose creatures, converts those deaths into exile triggers, and then turns an end step into a swarm of pumped Rats. Marrow-Gnawer acts as the closest hidden commander, granting every Rat fear and providing a token-multiplying outlet; Tribute to Horobi // Echo of Death's Wail is a secondary Rat payoff that steals all Rat tokens and draws cards. The primary plan is to accumulate a critical mass of Rats and attack for quadratic damage. Secondary paths use Sothera, the Supervoid and The Darkness Crystal to grind value, and Black Market Connections/Big Apple, 3 a.m. to generate extra bodies. The interaction suite protects the setup long enough for one large wipe to seal the game.
