Y'shtola, Night's Blessed leads an Esper spell-slinger control deck: every MV3+ noncreature spell is a 2-damage drain and the end-step trigger turns opponents' losses into cards. Papalymo Totolymo acts as a hidden second commander, doubling that drain. The primary plan is to survive with pillow-fort effects and countermagic while assembling an infinite life-loss loop (Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond/Vito). A secondary path uses Bolas's Citadel and Aetherflux Reservoir to convert top-deck spell-chaining into a 50-life kill. The commander accelerates and draws but is not essential to the combo, which functions through Papalymo, Kambal, Talion, and Sheoldred if she is removed.
