Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis midrange strategy centered on Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. It leverages Villain tribal synergies and discard mechanics to generate incremental card quality and direct table damage. The commander provides a steady engine by conniving each combat, draining opponents whenever land cards are discarded while growing threats with nonland discards. Discard payoffs like Feast of Sanity and Cool but Rude convert looting spells like Ancient Excavation and Tolarian Winds into heavy life loss for opponents. The deck controls the board with a flexible suite of counterspells, spot removal, and sweepers like Final Act, while defensive pieces like Propaganda slow down opposing aggression. It closes games through evasive combat damage from buffed Villains, compounded discard burn, or an alternate win line using Leveler alongside Doctor Doom, Unrivaled.
