Blech, Loafing Pest by Rhu

Format: Commander

Commander: Blech, Loafing Pest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari life-gain / +1/+1 counter / Pest-token value deck helmed by Blech, Loafing Pest, whose trigger converts every life-gain event into +1/+1 counters on all Pest, Bat, Insect, Snake, and Spider creatures. The deck generates a steady stream of Pest tokens that gain life on death, feeding Blech's pump while simultaneously draining opponents through Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, Mirkwood Bats, and The Meathook Massacre. Counter multiplication via Hardened Scales, Winding Constrictor, and Doubling Season, plus counter preservation through The Ozolith, turns a wide token board into a lethal, trampling swarm. Recursion engines in Moseo, Vein's New Dean, Whip of Erebos, and Cauldron of Essence keep the engine grinding. The primary win is incremental table-wide drain combined with a final combat swing, often punctuated by a Finale of Devastation for X=10+ to give the whole board haste.
