Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered competitive EDH list built in Sultai colors, helmed by The Wise Mothman. It leverages format-ceiling acceleration through 0-and-1-drop mana rocks, rituals, and mana dorks to reach operational velocity two turns ahead of standard curves. The primary strategy focuses on assembling compact, instant-speed win lines, centered around Thassa's Oracle paired with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact. Should the primary plan encounter resistance, the deck features fully redundant backup lines including Food Chain loops with Eternal Scourge or Misthollow Griffin, Bloodchief Ascension with Mindcrank, and Bolas's Citadel engine lines. Defensively, the list runs a premier suite of free countermagic, Veil of Summer, and potent hatebears like Opposition Agent and Notion Thief that suppress opposing development while protecting its own combo turns.
