Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Dragon Midrange strategy helmed by Zurgo and Ojutai. The game plan focuses on ramping during the first three turns into an early deployment of the commander or high-value dragon enablers. Zurgo and Ojutai offers built-in resilience via temporary hexproof and can bounce itself to hand after combat, generating steady card advantage while dodging sorcery-speed sweepers. In the mid-to-late game, the deck transitions from value generation into heavy pressure, resolving massive flying threats like Terror of the Peaks, Ancient Copper Dragon, and Twinflame Tyrant. A comprehensive defensive shell featuring premium countermagic, free spells, and phase protection ensures that key dragons survive to close out the game through high-flying aerial combat and burn.
