Deck overview

Thorin Oakenshield is a Boros Dwarf/artifact deck. The named commander is a cheap protection piece: once the Storied condition is met, creatures and artifacts gain ward {1}. The real hidden engine is Magda, Brazen Outlaw, who turns tapping and attacking Dwarves into Treasure and can sacrifice five Treasures to find an artifact or Dragon. The main finish is combat pressure from Dwarves, Equipment, and Dragons, with Smaug and Flameblast Dragon providing burst damage. A secondary finish is Hellkite Tyrant's twenty-artifact win, often reached by saving Treasure and equipment tokens. Last Light of Durin's Day is a backup tutor that can put a Dragon into play. The deck can attack well and has good removal, but resolves games through incremental board pressure rather than one-turn combos.
