Format: Commander

Commander: Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose to turn incidental and massive life gain into lethal life drain against opponents. The primary strategy builds a board of life-gaining permanents, Aristocrat-style death triggers, and mana doublers to burn down enemy life totals incrementally or in sudden bursts. The deck features potent instant-kill combinations: casting Blood Tribute with kicker or resolving Shard of the Nightbringer while Vito, Sanguine Bond, or Enduring Tenacity is active drains an opponent from full health to zero immediately. A fully charged Bloodchief Ascension paired with The Master of Lake-town creates an inescapable, infinite mill-and-drain loop that eliminates the entire table.
