Deck overview

This Grixis spellslinger deck leverages Saruman, the White Hand to convert noncreature spells into a massive Orc Army token. By sequencing low-cost rocks, removal, card draw, and utility artifacts, the deck steadily grows an evasive threat protected by ward {2}. Midgame payoffs such as Lord of the Nazgûl, Storm of Saruman, and Assault on Osgiliath allow the board to transition from single-target Voltron pressure into wide combat damage or explosive double-strike finishes. While the deck possesses resilient alternative engines in Sauron, the Dark Lord and dense thematic removal, its reliance on combat damage and a concentrated creature token leaves it vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers and bounce effects.
