Deck overview

This deck is an Esper reanimator and token-copy strategy led by Hashaton, Scarab's Fist. The primary game plan revolves around filtering cards through efficient discard enablers like Careful Study, Faithful Mending, and Psychic Frog, then using Hashaton's triggered ability to create 4/4 Zombie token copies of massive game-ending creatures for {2}{U}. Supported by traditional reanimation spells such as Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Necromancy, the deck reliably cheats out format-defining threats like Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Archon of Cruelty, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and Valgavoth, Terror Eater by Turn 4. These threats systematically strip opposing resources through hand destruction, continuous board wipes, and forced sacrifices. The deck closes the game around Turn 7 through overwhelming combat damage and drain triggers, amplified by token doublers like Anointed Procession. While light on countermagic and vulnerable to rest-in-peace style graveyard exile, its redundant reanimation lines and crushing asymmetric attrition make it an oppressive and resilient midrange powerhouse.
