Deck overview

This deck uses The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride as a hasty combat engine. A creature saddles Gitrog, Gitrog connects, and the sacrificed creature turns its power into cards and tapped land drops. Those resources support token makers, graveyard creatures, and large combat payoffs. The deck has a reasonable midgame shell with Sol Ring, two-mana ramp, creature-based selection, removal, and several ways to turn deaths into Saprolings. Its main weakness is that Gitrog's trigger needs both a legal saddling creature and combat damage. The deck also lacks a deterministic table kill. Overwhelming Stampede can create a lethal attack against one opponent after a wide board develops, but blockers, removal, and the need for later attacks prevent a reliable full-table finish. The list is therefore a general-power midrange deck rather than a competitive combo or lock deck.
