Deck overview

This Abzan deck blends +1/+1 counter synergies with aristocrat value loops under Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan. The primary game plan establishes early sacrificial fodder such as Doomed Traveler, Ichor Wellspring, and token-generating artifacts, then deploys Felothar to convert those pieces into team-wide +1/+1 counters on entry and attack. Counter multipliers like Hardened Scales, Conclave Mentor, and Winding Constrictor rapidly accelerate the board's power, while evasion enablers like Abzan Falconer and Duskshell Crawler ensure combat damage pushes through opposing defenses. The deck achieves usable engine assembly on Turn 4 and presents critical lethal combat pressure by Turn 5. In addition to fair combat aggression, the deck contains an incidental infinite combo with Basking Broodscale and Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest that generates infinite mana and counters. While resilient against destruction sweepers through cards like Inspiring Call and Duty Beyond Death, the list remains vulnerable to mass exile effects.
