Deck overview

This Selesnya deck combines aggressive +1/+1 counter scaling with a heroic combat strategy powered by Storm, Windrider. By deploying efficient early creatures such as Wildwood Scourge, Conclave Mentor, and Colleen Wing, Street Samurai, the deck sets up a formidable ground presence. Once Storm, Windrider enters the battlefield on Turn 4, any targeted combat trick or protection spell triggers her ability, granting target creatures flying. Because Storm's static ability prevents flying creatures from blocking your team while non-flying creatures cannot block flyers, your attackers become completely unblockable. The deck protects its proactive game plan with a deep package of cheap instant-speed protection spells like Snakeskin Veil, Take Up the Shield, and Grand Crescendo, ensuring high resilience against removal. While it lacks stack-based countermagic and hard stax, its ability to bypass blockers and scale lethal commander and creature damage allows it to close out multiplayer games reliably by Turn 7.
