Deck overview

Eris, Roar of the Storm commands an Izzet spellslinger deck built around graveyard diversity and token production. The deck casts cheap instants and sorceries across different mana values during the early turns to drastically reduce Eris's casting cost from ten mana down to as little as two mana. Once Eris enters the battlefield, casting two spells each turn creates 4/4 red Dragon Elemental creature tokens with flying and prowess. Supporting creatures like Balmor, Battlemage Captain and Twinflame Travelers amplify these tokens into lethal aerial assaults, while alternative beatdown threats such as Malignus and Nova Chaser offer sudden bursts of combat power through Incandescent Soulstoke. A flexible suite of counterspells, bounce effects, and targeted Auras like Clout of the Dominus shields the commander and disrupts opposing engines. The deck balances velocity, board presence, and resilient commander recasts to overwhelm opponents in mid-game combat.
