Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck centers on Ovika, Enigma Goliath, aiming to ramp into its 7-mana commander and overwhelm opponents through explosive token production and storm chains. Early turns focus on establishing mana acceleration with artifacts like Arcane Signet and Thran Dynamo, supported by cheap card selection spells like Ponder and Expressive Iteration. Once Ovika enters the battlefield on Turn 5, every noncreature spell creates a swarm of 1/1 Phyrexian Goblin creature tokens with haste. On Turn 6, the deck converts these tokens into massive bursts of mana through Battle Hymn, Brightstone Ritual, or Skirk Prospector, drawing large portions of the library with convoke spells like Harmonized Crescendo and Transcendent Message. The deck finishes opponents in the same turn via overwhelming hasty combat damage amplified by Balmor, Battlemage Captain and City on Fire, or through lethal burn triggers from Impact Tremors, Molten Gatekeeper, and Goblin Bombardment.
