Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages undercosted, massive creatures to generate overwhelming card advantage and life-draining pressure. Commanded by Tom, Bert, and William, the deck deploys high-power creatures with drawback mechanics such as Lupine Prototype, Kalakscion, Hunger Tyrant, Slumbering Trudge, and Hunted Bonebrute early in the game. It then sacrifices them to the commander for {1} mana to draw 5 to 7 cards at a time. The commander naturally resists sweepers by returning to the battlefield as an artifact upon dying. The deck converts its loaded graveyard and massive hand into victory through powerful reanimation spells, combat powerhouses like Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus and Ghalta, Primal Hunger, and direct table-wide life loss from Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. A secondary goad aura package deflects opposing aggression while the deck sets up its midgame finish.
