Commander: Kros, Defense Contractor

Deck overview

This is a Bant +1/+1 counter deck built to establish a board of large, trampling creatures while Kros, Defense Contractor turns opponent attacks into a liability. The primary plan is incremental counter generation via Hardened Scales, Forgotten Ancient, Maester Seymour, and Tromell, then proliferate with Tekuthal and Evolution Sage to make combat lethal. The secondary path is a compact Walking Ballista + Gatta and Luzzu combo under Hardened Scales for an instant table kill. Kros is a support piece, goading and shield-countering opponents' creatures, not the deck's engine. Pillow fort effects and protection spells buy time for the counter engine to outsize the table. There is no hidden commander; the card pool itself is the engine.
