Deck overview

This Orzhov deck blends Vampire tribal aristocrats, lifegain attrition, and a dedicated two-card infinite combo. Commanded by Astarion, the Decadent, the deck leverages passive lifegain and opponent life loss to control the board while generating resource advantage. The primary win condition centers on combining Exquisite Blood with lifedrain engines such as Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Marauding Blight-Priest, or Cliffhaven Vampire. With top-tier black tutors including Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, and Imperial Seal, the deck reliably assembles this combo by Turn 5 to eliminate all opponents in a single turn. Should the primary combo face disruption, the deck seamlessly transitions into an aggressive Vampire beatdown and aristocrat plan. Cards like Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Vein Ripper, and Bolas's Citadel synergize with Astarion's end-step ability to deliver devastating bursts of asymmetric life loss, making the deck resilient and lethal across multiple axes of play.
