Deck overview

Splinter, Radical Rat commands an aggressive Esper Ninja tempo deck focused on multiplying combat damage triggers. The commander doubles all triggered abilities of your Ninjas and provides on-demand unblockability for {1}{U}. Early turns establish cheap, evasive attackers such as Changeling Outcast and Mothdust Changeling, which seamlessly swap into high-impact Ninjas like Ingenious Infiltrator, Fallen Shinobi, and Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. Once Splinter enters the battlefield on Turn 3, subsequent combat steps yield overwhelming card advantage, free spells cast from opposing libraries, and rapid life loss. The deck transitions into a lethal clock via exponential Mist-Syndicate Naga token cloning or Mirror Entity pumps to close the game by Turn 7. A comprehensive suite of low-cost countermagic and versatile spot removal protects the board state while keeping opposing threats in check.
