Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck is commanded by The Ghoul, Gunslinger, utilizing a dedicated tribal Zombie shell to generate high resource velocity and lethal burst damage. The deck operates by developing efficient Zombie creatures and mana accelerators in the early turns, establishing draw engines like Skullclamp, Undead Augur, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician by Turn 4. The primary win condition is an infinite loop assembled on Turn 5 using Gravecrawler and Phyrexian Altar (or Warren Soultrader) alongside drain payoffs such as Plague Belcher, Vengeful Dead, or The Meathook Massacre, which eliminates all three opponents immediately. Defensively, the deck controls opposing creature strategies through asymmetric edict effects like Dictate of Erebos and targeted removal. While highly resilient against board wipes due to dense graveyard recursion, the deck remains vulnerable to dedicated graveyard exile and instant-speed stack interaction.
