Commander: Tannuk, Steadfast Second

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 36

Deck overview

This mono-red deck leverages Tannuk, Steadfast Second to cheat massive red creatures and artifact bombs into play for a flat warp cost of {2}{R}. Because Tannuk grants haste, these threats attack immediately on Turn 4, triggering devastating combat abilities from creatures like Etali, Primal Storm, Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, and Threefold Thunderhulk. When warped permanents exile at the end step, they avoid sorcery-speed sweepers and remain available to recast from exile on later turns. Cards like Sundial of the Infinite allow the deck to bypass the exile clause entirely and keep cheated threats permanently. With strong impulse draw, discover engines, and artifact synergies, the deck steadily outvalues opponents while delivering lethal combat damage across multiple rotations.
