Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red Voltron and forced combat strategy commanded by Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos. The game plan revolves around casting Alexios early and passing control of it to opponents on each of their upkeeps. Because Alexios cannot attack its owner, gains +1/+1 counters continuously, and must attack every combat, it forces opponents to deal massive commander damage to each other. The deck supports this aggressive clock with equipment that grants protection and damage multipliers, such as Commander's Plate, Two-Handed Axe, and Fireshrieker. Redirection spells protect Alexios from targeted removal while leaving opponents with few viable defensive options. The deck also includes a backup infinite combat combo featuring Aggravated Assault and Sword of Feast and Famine to finish games when combat stalls.
