Format: Commander

Commander: Alena, Kessig Trapper and Gilanra, Caller of Wirewood

Bracket: 1

Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul "big stompy" build helmed by the partner pair Alena, Kessig Trapper and Gilanra, Caller of Wirewood. The primary game plan is to accelerate through the commanders' mana-producing abilities, cast high-power creatures (average CMC 6.08), and leverage cascade and discover effects to cheat additional threats onto the battlefield. The deck aims to overwhelm opponents with massive combat damage, supplemented by the ETB-damage reach of Warstorm Surge and the death-trigger reach of Stalking Vengeance. It is a linear, high-variance strategy that relies on the commander pair for both ramp and card-draw triggers, and it has no infinite combos or fast mana.
