Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Izzet wheels and token swarm strategy commanded by The Locust God. The game plan accelerates through mana rocks on early turns to deploy the commander on Turn 4 or 5. Once the commander is active, resolving wheel effects like Windfall, Tolarian Winds, or Change of Fortune creates swarms of 1/1 flying Insect tokens with haste. The deck converts these tokens into immediate lethality using damage multipliers like Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, Shared Animosity, or Devilish Valet. Built-in death recursion on The Locust God allows the deck to shrug off standard removal by returning the commander to hand at the end step without accumulating tax. Drawing cards fuels both defense and offense, creating a self-sustaining engine that rapidly overpowers all three opponents in a single coordinated strike.
