Deck overview

This deck utilizes The Cabbage Merchant to turn symmetric group-hug effects into a personal mana engine. By providing opponents with extra cards and mana through permanents like Howling Mine, Font of Mythos, and Heartbeat of Spring, the deck incentivizes other players to cast noncreature spells. Each noncreature spell triggers the commander to produce Food tokens, which tap for mana in pairs or individually with Jaheira, Friend of the Forest. Token multipliers like Academy Manufactor and Parallel Lives rapidly swell the board with artifacts. Once sufficient mana accumulates, the deck casts decisive finishers such as Craterhoof Behemoth, Finale of Devastation, or Genesis Wave to overrun all three opponents in a single turn. While giving resources to opponents carries inherent risk, dedicated protection spells and fast mana acceleration enable the deck to close the game before opponents can fully capitalize on their extra resources.
