Deck overview

Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver is a classic Dimir zombie aristocrat deck that buries the table in a tide of decayed tokens. The engine is simple: every zombie death triggers Wilhelt to create a decayed 2/2, and his end-step sacrifice turns a spare token into a card. The deck layers token generators (Endless Ranks of the Dead, Open the Graves, Ghoulish Procession) with lords (Death Baron, Lord of the Accursed, Diregraf Captain) and death-trigger drains (Zulaport Cutthroat, Plague Belcher) to convert the swarm into a lethal clock. A robust recursion package - Zombie Apocalypse, Ghouls' Night Out, Liliana, Death's Majesty, Gisa and Geralf - rebuilds through wipes, and mass-token spells like Army of the Damned and Dread Summons provide the final burst. There are no infinite combos; this is a midrange grinder that wins around turns 8-9 through combat and attrition.
