Deck overview

This is a Gruul Ape and Monkey tribal deck built around Kibo, Uktabi Prince, leveraging a +1/+1 counter theme fueled by artifact destruction. The commander's tap ability generates Banana tokens-sacrificable for mana and life gain-while its attack trigger forces an opponent to sacrifice an artifact, feeding a global +1/+1 counter engine for every Ape or Monkey on the battlefield. The deck aims to control the artifact landscape with a dense suite of artifact destruction spells, then overwhelm opponents with a growing army of counter-enhanced creatures. Primary win conditions are combat damage via trample enablers (Overrun, Garruk's Uprising, Finale of Devastation) and the raw power of large Apes like Kogla, the Titan Ape and Kogla and Yidaro. The deck also includes incidental life gain and card draw engines that trigger off artifact death, keeping the gas flowing.
