Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Boros Voltron strategy commanded by Lightning, Army of One. Lightning combines first strike, trample, and lifelink with her Stagger ability, which doubles all damage dealt to a player after she damages them in combat. The primary game plan deploys efficient Equipment tutors like Stoneforge Mystic, Fighter Class, and Open the Armory on early turns to fetch powerhouse Equipment such as Caduceus, Staff of Hermes, Wrecking Ball Arm, and Buster Sword. Once equipped on turn 4, Lightning attacks to trigger Stagger and eliminate opponents in rapid succession using extra combat steps from Seize the Day, Overpowering Attack, and Aurelia, the Warleader. The list secures its combat windows with Grand Abolisher, Mother of Runes, and Boros Charm, while using spot removal and goad sorceries like Taunt from the Rampart to bypass defenses and finish the table.
