Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats and reanimator build led by Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist. The game plan revolves around putting creatures into the graveyard and tapping Xu-Ifit to reanimate them for free. Although Xu-Ifit strips reanimated creatures of their abilities and turns them into blank Skeletons, the deck turns this restriction into an advantage. Reanimated bodies serve as expendable fuel for sacrifice outlets like Braids, Arisen Nightmare and Vampiric Rites, or they can be targeted with 'return on death' spells like Feign Death and Supernatural Stamina to bring them back as new game objects with their full original abilities and enters-the-battlefield triggers restored. The deck closes games around turn 8 by overwhelming the table with exponentially duplicating 6/6 flyers from Dreadfeast Demon, resolving a game-ending Living Death, or draining opponents with Syr Konrad, the Grim and Zulaport Cutthroat.
