Kicker Commander Deck

Format: Commander

Commander: Hallar, the Firefletcher

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a focused Gruul Kicker deck helmed by Hallar, the Firefletcher, whose entire game plan is to cast kicked spells to grow Hallar with +1/+1 counters, then convert those counters into table-wide burn via its triggered ability. The deck packs 24 kicker cards spanning every role - removal (Burst Lightning, Fight with Fire), ramp (Grow from the Ashes, Vastwood Surge), creatures (Cragplate Baloth, Verix Bladewing), and pump (Strength of the Tajuru) - plus a +1/+1 counter acceleration package (Hardened Scales, Invigorating Surge, Biogenic Upgrade, Hydra's Growth) to rocket Hallar to lethal size. Secondary wins come from combat with big kicked creatures and token swarms from Wolfbriar Elemental. The deck is a classic midrange value engine: ramp hard, deploy Hallar, then chain kicked spells into a one-shot burn kill on the whole pod.
