Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Orzhov Aristocrats and Lifegain combo deck helmed by Astarion, the Decadent. Rather than relying on its expensive commander, the list operates as a streamlined combo engine centered around the classic infinite life-drain loop. The deck pairs an Exquisite Blood effect (such as Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror) with a life-loss payoff (such as Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, or Enduring Tenacity). Early turns focus on developing mana using fast artifacts like Mana Vault, Sol Ring, and rituals like Dark Ritual. Premier black and white tutors ensure rapid access to both halves of the combo. The deck protects its win attempts using proactive silence effects like Grand Abolisher, Silence, and Ranger-Captain of Eos. Once assembled, any instance of life gain or opponent damage creates an infinite loop that eliminates all three opponents simultaneously, offering high consistency and explosive burst potential.
