Deck overview

Gev, Scaled Scorch commands an aggressive Rakdos kindred deck centered on Lizards, Outlaws, and cumulative group-slug burn. The strategy focuses on establishing early board presence by curving cheap Lizards into Gev on Turn 2, then exploiting Gev's cast-trigger pings to enable the loss-of-life requirement for entering creatures to gain +1/+1 counters. As the creature curve develops, global damage enhancers like Valley Flamecaller, Gratuitous Violence, and Impact Tremors amplify every combat swing and noncombat trigger across all three opponents simultaneously. The deck builds critical board pressure around Turn 5 and closes games through unblockable direct burn, menace attacks, and combat multipliers by Turn 7. While the deck boasts high tribal redundancy and explosive curve-out potential, it lacks nonland tutors, stack interaction, and sweeper protection. Navigating board wipes and managing life as a resource are key to sustaining aggression until opponents' life totals are fully depleted.
