gandalf friends deck 2 by user9369466

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf, Party Guest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gandalf, Party Guest leads a Jeskai legendary Wizard spellslinger deck that wins through combat, not storm. You build a board of 2-4 legendary Wizards so Gandalf can cast an instant or sorcery for free at the start of combat where X is twice your legendary Wizard count. Every noncreature spell then pumps the team through Adeliz, Balmor, and Jeskai Ascendancy while Kykar, Hermes, and Talrand make flying tokens. Fiery Inscription, Vivi Ornitier, and Gandalf, Goblins' Bane add passive burn. Extra combats from Seize the Day and Waves of Aggression and Time Stretch finish the table. Kykar, Wind's Fury and Adeliz act as hidden commanders that drive damage even when Gandalf is absent.
