Deck overview

This deck leverages the unique Rulebreaker text of Grizzlegom, Hurloon Hero, allowing all five basic land types into a Gruul commander deck. Operating on an enormous land count of 58 lands, the strategy focuses on accelerating mana through low-cost exploration effects, ramp spells, and land-replay engines like Azusa, Lost but Seeking and Crucible of Worlds. Once Grizzlegom resolves, every attack trigger checks all five basic land types, generating wide Soldier armies, drawing cards, draining opponents, buffing Grizzlegom, and gaining life simultaneously. Enhancers like Dryad of the Ilysian Grove and Prismatic Omen maximize this trigger across all lands controlled. While the deck boasts immense mana velocity, rapid card draw, and strong backup beatdown through Scute Swarm and Cultivator Colossus, its reliance on combat, complete lack of proactive stax, and sparse reactive interaction leave it vulnerable to fast combo decks and well-timed board wipes.
