Deck overview

This deck is a high-power mono-black combo deck helmed by Gwenom, Remorseless, which turns life totals into raw mana velocity by casting spells off the top of the library during combat. Backed by explosive acceleration like Dark Ritual, Mana Vault, and Sol Ring, the deck aims to deploy Gwenom on turn 3 or 4 with haste equipment such as Lightning Greaves or Lavaspur Boots. Once Gwenom attacks, her trigger allows chaining through the deck while her lifelink replenishes life. The deck translates this velocity into instant table kills via redundant two-card infinite life-drain loops, notably Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror paired with Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, or Enduring Tenacity, as well as Aetherflux Reservoir storm finishes. Dense unconditional tutors provide high consistency, while Bolas's Citadel provides a powerful commander-independent backup engine.
