Gorma by Subble

Format: Commander

Commander: Gorma, the Gullet

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Golgari aristocrats deck helmed by Gorma, the Gullet leverages a dense suite of death-triggered drain effects and sacrifice outlets to grind opponents down. The primary game plan is to deploy creatures like Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat, then sacrifice them repeatedly via Viscera Seer or Priest of Forgotten Gods to drain the table. Gorma accelerates the counter plan, making nontoken creatures enter with extra +1/+1 counters based on the turn's death count, but the deck's core engine functions independently. Secondary win conditions include combat with pumped creatures (Mycoloth, Tendershoot Dryad) and the infinite combo of Pitiless Plunderer + a free sacrifice outlet + a drain payoff. The deck lacks real tutors, so it relies on redundancy and natural draws to assemble its pieces.
