Deck overview

This deck pairs the cost-reduction eminence and combat trigger of The Ur-Sphinx with a unique 20-card package of Sphinx's Approach. Supported by high-tier Esper control staples, fast mana, and efficient countermagic, the deck aims to assemble Thrumming Stone to ripple through the deck with Sphinx's Approach. Each copy draws two cards and seeds the graveyard to cheat massive Sphinxes such as Sphinx of the Chimes, Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign, and Magister Sphinx directly onto the battlefield. The explosive ripple sequence quickly draws through the library, leading to a same-turn finish via Thassa's Oracle or a back-breaking combat assault. Premium interaction ensures the combo can be defended and opposing strategies kept in check.
