Deck overview

Mirko, Obsessive Theorist leads a Dimir surveil grind deck. You surveil to put +1/+1 counters on Mirko and fill the graveyard, then use Mirko's end step trigger to return a creature with power less than Mirko's with a finality counter. The deck wins through incremental value, not a combo. Secondary paths add drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Syr Konrad, the Grim and Massacre Wurm, and extra end steps from Y'shtola Rhul or an extra turn from Ultimecia, Time Sorceress to double reanimation triggers. Mirko is the repeatable recursion engine; the deck still draws and surveils without him but loses its free reanimation loop.
