New Untitled Deck by user2150087

Format: Commander

Commander: Hakbal of the Surging Soul

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Hakbal of the Surging Soul pilots a Simic Merfolk tribal deck that wins by turning combat into an explore-driven pump: cheap lords and token generators go wide, Hakbal's start-of-combat triggers spread +1/+1 counters, and islandwalk/unblockable effects ensure damage. The commander is both ramp and card advantage, while also pumping the board. Secondary paths are a hexproof token swarm from Deeproot Waters/Pilgrimage and a flying package via Mist Dancer and Namor. The deck has no infinite combo and closes via three or four attack steps. It is moderately dependent on Hakbal, though the lord core can still function. Note: the list contains Pick Your Poison, a black card outside Hakbal's color identity, making the deck illegal as submitted.
