Commander: Kambal, Consul of Allocation

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kambal, Consul of Allocation leads an Orzhov lifegain and taxation deck that drains opponents while steadily inflating your own life total. Kambal taxes noncreature spells early, punishing opponents for playing ramp and interaction while fueling your lifegain triggers. The deck translates this life advantage into lethal pressure through redundant drain converters like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Sanguine Bond. Explosive win conditions include doubling life loss via Bloodletter of Aclazotz alongside life-halving cards like Blood Tribute or Revival // Revenge for instant knockouts. Alternate paths to victory include firing Aetherflux Reservoir, resolving a game-winning Felidar Sovereign, or casting massive Exsanguinate finishers powered by Crypt Ghast.
