Deck overview

This Kaalia of the Vast deck operates as a high-powered aggro-midrange cheat deck designed to deploy devastating Angels, Demons, and Dragons ahead of curve. Supported by a dense suite of two-mana artifacts and color fixing, the deck aims to cast Kaalia on turn 3 and declare an attack on turn 4. Once attacking, Kaalia's triggered ability places massive flying threats directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking, bypassing their hefty casting costs and timing restrictions. Game-warping threats like Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, Archfiend of Despair, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, and Utvara Hellkite rapidly escalate combat pressure, eliminating opponents across two combat rotations. The list defends Kaalia with premier free protection including Deflecting Swat and Flawless Maneuver, alongside phasing from Teferi's Protection. Backed by targeted removal, selective creature hatebears, and Sneak Attack as a redundant cheat enabler, the deck presents an explosive aerial clock capable of closing games by turn 6.
