Deck overview

Grothama, All-Devouring is the deck's central resource engine. The plan is to ramp into the five-mana commander, develop several large creatures, and have them fight or attack Grothama so its death trigger draws a large number of cards. Rite of Passage, Vigor, Foe-Razer Regent, and +1/+1-counter effects make the fights more favorable, while Rishkar's Expertise, Mouth // Feed, and Lifeblood Hydra offer backup card flow. The deck has broad creature-based removal and some artifact and enchantment answers, but almost no stack interaction and limited protection. Its curve, tapped lands, and dependence on a developed board make the primary engine a turn-7 setup with meaningful pressure around turn 8. The draw burst is strong, but the list lacks a compact kill or total lock, so it usually wins only through several later combat steps and repeated board development.
